Big and Tall

Nice looking hat, appears to be well made but....it's very tall? I mean, I guess if I wear it I may appear a little taller but I don't understand why it is made with the top/front of the hat sitting so high. If I pull it down over my ears, well, then it fits nicely but who wears a hat like that?
